Is it permissible to sell dogs for guarding and for show, while donating the profit from the show dogs?

The default ruling is that it is impermissible to sell, buy, or own dogs, and their price is unlawful. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prohibited the price of a dog and informed that its price is impure. The majority of scholars hold the view that the price of a dog is absolutely forbidden, whether it is for hunting, herding, or anything else.

The more accurate view is the permissibility of selling, buying, and the lawfulness of the price of dogs that are permitted to be kept for hunting and similar purposes, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the price of a dog, except for a hunting dog."

Accordingly, it is not permissible to sell ornamental dogs, even if you intend to donate their price. If the sale of forbidden dogs is mixed with permissible dogs, then that action is unlawful and must be abandoned.

As for previously acquired earnings from an unlawful sale: if you were aware of its unlawfulness, you must dispose of it by donating it or spending it on the welfare of Muslims. However, if you were ignorant of the prohibition and then learned about it after receiving the price, it is permissible for you to benefit from it.

Dogs are not an adornment due to their filth and impurity, and angels do not enter a house where they are present.
