Is it obligatory to repeat the prayer due to the strong suspicion of passing wind after performing ablution, especially when doing so involves great hardship?

A person afflicted with erratic سلس (incontinence), whose impurity sometimes ceases and sometimes does not, and sometimes occurs early and sometimes late, is given the ruling of one whose impurity is continuous. Such a person should perform ablution (wudu') after the time for prayer begins and then pray. Whatever issues from them thereafter does not harm their prayer. The temporary cessation of the impurity is not given consideration due to the hardship and difficulty involved in doing so. Some scholars hold the view that if the impurity ceases for a period sufficient to perform ablution and prayer before starting the prayer, then the person is obligated to repeat their ablution. Based on this, if flatulence (ريح) occurs in this manner, the person is considered to have سلس and should act according to what has been mentioned: perform ablution after the time for prayer begins and offer the prayer. They are not required to repeat it thereafter, even if they believe that no impurity will issue from them for the remainder of the time.
