The answer

It is permissible for the oppressed to seek justice for themselves by supplicating against the oppressor, without transgression. Even if they lack clear proof of the injustice, there is no harm in them saying: "O Allah, whoever among them has wronged me, then take my right from him." Allah the Almighty has said: "And whoever takes retribution after he has been wronged - those will not be blamed." And it is authentically reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and Allah."
