The second view cites the hadith (definition): "When you see a funeral procession, stand up for it until it passes you or is laid down."

They also differed on the ruling concerning the mourners remaining standing in the graveyard until the deceased is placed in the grave, holding two views: it is disliked for mourners to sit before the جنازة (bier/coffin) is laid down, or it is disliked to stand. The first view cites the hadith: "If you follow a funeral procession, do not sit until it is laid down."
