How is the Udhiyah (sacrifice) performed in a European country when there is no butcher available who slaughters according to the Islamic method, and there is no one known to whom half of the slaughtered animal can be given?

It is recommended for the one offering the sacrifice to slaughter their animal themselves, following the example of the Prophet (peace be upon him). It is disliked to delegate a person of the Book (Christian or Jew) to slaughter, even if they slaughter according to Islamic methods.

As for giving away the meat of the sacrifice, it is preferable to give it to Muslims. It is disliked to give it to disbelievers. The Shafi'is held that it is forbidden to give disbelievers from an obligatory sacrifice and disliked for a supererogatory one. If it is difficult to find poor Muslims to give them from the sacrifice, there is no harm in keeping it and not giving any of it in charity.
