Is it permissible to recite the Quran silently during prayer due to the obsessive thought of saliva reaching the lips and the difficulty of reciting aloud?

The majority of scholars hold that for the obligatory recitations and remembrances in prayer, the worshiper must make himself hear them. However, the Malikis and Ibn Taymiyyah are of the view that merely moving the tongue and lips with the letters is sufficient, without requiring audibility. This latter opinion is permissible for someone afflicted with waswasah (obsessive doubts) to adopt. As for reciting silently to oneself without moving the tongue and lips, this is not considered sufficient by the consensus of scholars.
