There is nothing upon you or your mother in making yourselves hear [the recitation], for this amount of recitation is sufficient, and the obligatory recitation is achieved by it. It is not necessary to make oneself hear [the recitation], and this is the view of the Malikis and the choice of Ibn Taymiyyah.
