The answer

A Muslim can attain the reward of a complete Hajj and Umrah by sitting in his prayer area, remembering Allah, after performing the Fajr prayer in congregation until the sun rises, and then praying two rak'ahs. It is not a condition for the worshipper to remain in the exact spot where he prayed in the mosque; rather, it is sufficient for him to be occupied with remembrance for most of that time. Interrupting the remembrance for a legitimate Shar'i excuse, such as returning a greeting or performing ablution, does not cause harm. Scholars have differed regarding the authenticity of the hadith mentioned concerning the virtue of this act.
