Is joining the SFI company – which relies on collecting points through surveys and reading tips, promoting its halal products while avoiding the forbidden ones, and inviting others to register and receive a percentage of their points and purchases with the possibility of surpassing them in profit – permissible or impermissible (halal or haram)? And is it permissible to register family members and work on their behalf to increase profits?

It is permissible to participate for free in marketing companies if the marketing is for permissible products, and points are earned from marketing, or by completing tasks for the company, or by having one's name entered into a free lottery to win some points. It is permissible to register family members to earn points, provided the company is aware and consents, and there is no deception or fraud involved.

As for rewards related to the work of members on one's list: if they are part of the participant's wage and not purely a donation from the company, and there is an element of gharar (uncertainty) in them (such as being contingent on the activity of members over whom the participant has no control), then they are not permissible. However, if they are purely a donation from the company and it is not obligated to pay them, then there is no harm in that.
