The answer

The majority of scholars are of the view that defects necessitating annulment are those that prevent intercourse or are repulsive and contagious diseases. A suitor is not required to disclose depression unless it is severe and leads the person to insanity. Some scholars, however, are of the view that any defect that causes one spouse to be repulsed by the other necessitates annulment and must be disclosed. Frankness and clarity between the engaged parties are more cautious and preferable. Depression usually subsides with treatment.
