Praise be to Allah for the blessing of guidance to the methodology of the People of the Sunnah and the Community (Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah), for they are the saved sect and the victorious group, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There will always be a group from my Ummah manifest upon the truth until the Command of Allah comes."

For evidence concerning the fundamentals of creed and the methodology of the Salaf, books such as "Manhaj al-Istidlal ala Masa'il al-Itiqad inda Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah" (The Methodology of Evidencing Issues of Belief According to Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah) by Dr. Uthman Ali Hassan, and "Manhaj al-Talaqqi wa al-Istidlal bayna Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Mubtadi'ah" (The Methodology of Reception and Evidencing Between Ahl al-Sunnah and the Innovators) by Sheikh Ahmad bin Abd al-Rahman al-Suwayyan, and "Al-Itisam" by Imam Al-Shatibi, and "Manhaj al-Talaqqi bayna al-Salaf wa al-Khalaf" (The Methodology of Reception Between the Salaf and the Khalaf) by Dr. Abd al-Azim Badawi, and the introduction to the book "Sahih al-Targhib wa al-Tarhib" by Sheikh Al-Albani are recommended.
