Is it permissible for the bride and groom to be photographed in a studio for remembrance, with the studio owner retaining and displaying the photos, and what is the ruling on photographing them in their wedding, whether pictures or video, especially since the bride is in her full adornment and the photographer may request intimate shots?

It is forbidden to photograph the bride in the presence of men, or for her to appear in full adornment, or for the photographer to request that of her. Sheikh Ibn Baz was asked about photographing the bride and groom on the stage, and he replied that it is not permissible because it causes fitnah (temptation/strife) and may lead to evil. For him to photograph the bride and groom, and perhaps photograph the women around them, and perhaps photograph her while he greets her or kisses her—this is reprehensible. It is obligatory to discipline the photographer and report him. As for photographing the bride and groom with video or conventional photography—according to the opinion that permits it—it is permissible when no one to whom it is unlawful to look at the picture sees it.
