Is it disliked to visit one's father's grave in the cemetery while another funeral procession is taking place, and does that affect the reward for accompanying the funeral?

Is it merely by praying and burying, or does it require following the funeral procession and accompanying it from the home until the burial is completed? The preponderant view is that the two qirats are obtained by one who accompanies the funeral from its home, prays over it, and accompanies it until its burial is completed. And whoever falls short in any of that will still have a reward for what they did.
