The answer

There is no impediment for a Muslim to pray and work towards excellence in studies and all their affairs; for Islam calls for strength in all its meanings. Allah the Almighty says: "And prepare against them whatever you are able of power." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in both. Be keen on what benefits you, seek help from Allah, and do not be helpless." Muslims will not achieve strength except through academic and intellectual excellence, and that is achieved through diligence, strong faith, sound creed, and resolve.
