How should the questioner deal with her friend who negatively affects her psychologically due to her academic excellence? And does Allah’s testing of the questioner by her not achieving high grades mean His lack of love for her, while He loves her excellent friend, or does Allah reserve another provision for her in the future?

Belief in divine decree (al-Qadar (definition)) is obligatory, and it is the sixth pillar of faith. Everything occurs according to Allah's decree and wisdom. Allah recorded the destinies fifty thousand years before creating the heavens and the earth. Allah has prescribed the exertion of effort (taking means) and required His servants to undertake them. Success, by Allah's decree, comes through diligence and hard work.

Belief in Allah and divine decree, and trust in Him, are among the causes of human success. Therefore, one must turn to Allah in supplication and work diligently to raise one's level and attain academic degrees. Supplication can avert destiny and is beneficial against what has descended and what has not. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to supplicate in times of hardship.

The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah. He should strive for what benefits him, seek help from Allah, and not despair. If something undesirable befalls him, he should say, "Qaddar Allahu wa ma sha'a fa'al" (Allah has decreed, and what He willed has occurred). Sins may be a cause for the descent of calamities and the deprivation of sustenance.

Failure in studies is not proof of Allah's dislike, just as success is not proof of His love. To treat one's psychological state, remembrance of Allah (dhikr) and reading the Quran are recommended.
