How do we take the Qur’an as a guiding Imam?
It is incumbent upon Muslims, individually and collectively, to make the Holy Quran their leader and guide. This is achieved by firmly establishing the belief that the Quran is the word of Allah, that it sealed the heavenly revelation and the guidance of the Prophets. Whoever follows it will not go astray or be miserable. The early Muslims dominated the world through it. And the firm belief in its truthfulness, justice, and the obligation to obey its commands and avoid its prohibitions is what makes a Muslim take it as a leader and guide, just as the righteous predecessors did. Ibn Mas'ud said: "O people; indeed, Allah is our Lord, and the Quran is our Imam (leader)."
