The answer

A father must take care of his sons and daughters, both Islamically and physically. Islamic law particularly emphasizes the care of daughters. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Whoever is tested with these daughters and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Hellfire," and "Whoever takes care of two girls until they reach maturity, he and I will come on the Day of Judgment like this," and he joined his fingers. Disliking daughters is a reprehensible pre-Islamic custom. Allah Almighty says: "And when one of them is given good tidings of a female, his face remains dark, and he is filled with suppressed grief." Spending time on the Internet and watching television is regrettable and can lead to religious corruption and neglect of duties. The daughter must be patient, kind to her father, advise him gently, and occupy her time with what is beneficial.
