Is praying over the deceased inside the grave before it is closed considered praying before burial or after it?

Whoever missed the funeral prayer may pray over the deceased as long as the burial has not taken place. If the burial has occurred, one may pray over the grave for up to a month. This is the opinion of most scholars, including the Companions and others.
