Is not having children after an abortion—even if it was under duress—a punishment from God, and does God forgive such an act?

If the abortion occurs after 120 days of pregnancy (after the ensoulment), it is unanimously prohibited (haram), and the perpetrator is obligated to do three things: repentance (tawbah), pay a blood money (diyyah – a slave, male or female, if it was born dead; a full diyyah if it was born alive and then died), and perform expiation (kaffarah – agreed upon if it was born alive and then died; differed upon if it was born dead). The threat from the husband's mother does not permit abortion. As for abortion before ensoulment, there is a detailed explanation. The perpetrator must repent and fulfill the obligations of diyyah and kaffarah. Delayed conception may or may not be a punishment.
