Is it permissible to write in the Mushaf for the purpose of learning?

It is disliked to add benefits and issues to the margins of the Mushaf, out of veneration for the Book of Allah the Almighty, because it involves mixing with it that which is not part of it. Some of the righteous predecessors disliked this, while others permitted it due to its general benefit.
