Is the commission offered to an employee by other companies that deal with his company, in exchange for bringing in work and accomplishing tasks, considered lawful or unlawful?

If your primary job at the company is to research and negotiate with other companies, then it is not permissible for you to take a commission from them except with the company's permission. However, if this is not your primary job, then there is no harm in you taking the commission.
