What is incumbent upon someone who intended 'Umrah by plane 15 days ago, but did not perform it due to being busy, and then was asked to go to Makkah and Ta'if for work? Should he go for work without the intention of 'Umrah, or should he go to Ta'if first, then enter into a state of Ihram from As-Sail and perform his work in Makkah, and then perform 'Umrah?

If you intended to enter into ihram at the miqat, you remain in the state of ihram until you exit it by completing your Umrah rituals, in accordance with the verse: "And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah." You must refrain from the prohibitions of ihram and proceed to Makkah to perform Umrah. You do not need to enter into ihram again. As for the ihram prohibitions you committed out of ignorance, you are not required to offer a fidyah (expiation) for them, except for those that involve destruction, such as cutting hair or clipping nails. In such cases, it is more cautious to offer a fidyah for each of these prohibitions (fasting three days, or feeding six needy persons, or sacrificing a sheep).
