What is the ruling on feeling hypocritical and refraining from supplicating for worldly matters, out of fear of Allah's accountability, and limiting oneself to supplications for the hereafter?

Allah Almighty commanded His servants to supplicate, and He promised them a response. He also informed us that His righteous servants ask Him for the good of this world and the hereafter. Supplicating for worldly benefits is not a sign of hypocrisy, for a Muslim supplicates to his Lord for the betterment of his faith, his worldly life, and his afterlife.
