Does the hardship that has afflicted the questioner mean that she is being recompensed in this world for the distress she relieved from believers, and that no portion of it will be set aside for relieving her distress in the Hereafter?

Allah does not let the reward of those who do good deeds be lost. What happened may be a trial to raise your ranks and expiate sins, for trials are a part of life. And whoever endures them patiently will attain mercy and high ranks, as Almighty Allah says: (And We test you with evil and with good as a trial). And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The greatness of the reward is with the greatness of the affliction. And when Allah loves a people, He afflicts them. So whoever is content, for him is contentment, and whoever is displeased, for him is displeasure." And whatever harm befalls a Muslim, Allah expiates his sins with it.
