Is it permissible to work as a maintenance technician in a pork processing plant, and if not, is it permissible to work in another department, such as maintaining refrigeration compressors?

It is not permissible to work in any department of a factory specialized in pork products, due to the assistance in sin and endorsement of evil involved. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed in relation to alcohol: its drinker, its pourer, its seller, its buyer, its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, its carrier, and the one to whom it is carried. And in relation to usury: its devourer, its feeder, its scribe, and its two witnesses. Thus, anything that aids in what Allah has forbidden is forbidden.
