How can the Hadith "Bring forth whoever has in his heart an atom's weight of faith... Then He will seize a handful from the Fire – or he said two handfuls – of people who never did any good deed for Allah whatsoever" be reconciled with the eternal damnation of the disbeliever in Hell?

There is no contradiction between the expulsion of people who never performed any good deeds from Hellfire, and the eternal damnation of disbelievers therein. This is because those who are expelled are not disbelievers; rather, they are monotheists who neglected acts of worship and obedience, and were encompassed by the intercession of believers, prophets, and angels, after which the Most Merciful of the merciful expelled them. Scholars have clarified that the meaning of "never performed any good deeds" refers to the lack of performing good deeds perfectly and completely, not an absolute absence of deeds. It was their monotheism and faith in the Lord that led to their expulsion.
