Is it permissible to perform ruqyah to attract money or to facilitate trade in exchange for a financial commission?

Legitimate ruqyah (exorcism) to ward off harm from bodies, souls, or circumstances, repels it before it occurs and removes it after it has occurred.

If we assume that a person has a legitimate ruqyah free from shirk (associating partners with Allah) through which he wards off business stagnation, then there is no prohibition for him to take a fee for that from the one he performs ruqyah on or teaches this ruqyah to. Ahmad was asked about a man who had no profession other than selling amulets, and he said: "Selling amulets is more beloved to me than asking people [for charity]."

It is a condition that the fee be known, not unknown; because taking a fee for ruqyah falls under the category of ju'alah (commission/reward), and it is a condition for it that the reward be known.
