What is the ruling on a father and mother distributing land and a commercial building to male children only, while depriving daughters, with the intention of avoiding problems? If you acquired real estate during your father's lifetime, the heirs, according to the majority of scholars, have no right to reclaim it. Nevertheless, it is preferable to return what you were favored with to the heirs as a precaution for your faith and as an act of piety towards your father.

If your brothers refuse to return the right to their sisters, then return their right from your share alone. If the sisters agree to take the value of the land in cash, this is a permissible settlement, and the valuation will be at the price of the day on which the payment is received.

As for your father's paternal aunts and your paternal aunt, if they were deprived of their inheritance rights, then this right must be restored to them. It does not lapse due to prescription or their death; rather, the share of the deceased is given to her heirs. In case of dispute, the matter should be referred to the Sharia court.
