Is what the brother did — taking his share of the land to give a portion of it to his sister after the other brothers refused to redistribute it — considered correct and does it absolve him of responsibility? And do the daughters lose their right to their share of the land's exploitation over the past 11 years?

Resolving disputes concerning inheritance matters and shared rights falls under the jurisdiction of the Shariah courts or their representatives, as they are best equipped to hear all parties, ascertain the truth of claims, evidence, and defenses, and issue judgments based on these. A mufti, on the other hand, only hears from one party and cannot issue an accurate ruling in such cases. It is not permissible to deprive females of their right to inheritance, and whoever does so is considered a usurper. A usurper is liable for the benefits of what he has usurped; therefore, he must pay a fair rental value for the entire duration of the usurpation. If a male heir limits himself to his rightful share of the inheritance and returns any excess to the female rightful heirs, then his liability for the usurpation of the property is cleared.
