What is the authenticity of prohibiting the consumption of eggs with two equal ends, such as those of eagles and crocodiles?

The prohibition against consuming the eggs of eagles and crocodiles is not because they are equally balanced [in terms of characteristics], but because the eggs of an animal whose flesh is not permissible to eat are also not permissible to eat due to their impurity. Books of Islamic jurisprudence have mentioned a difference of opinion regarding the consumption of eggs from animals whose flesh is not eaten, but the preponderant view is that it is not permissible to eat them, even if they are pure. Furthermore, the sweat, saliva, and eggs of animals whose flesh is not permissible to eat are considered impure by some scholars.
