The answer

Eating camel meat invalidates ablution (wudu') according to the most preponderant of the two scholarly opinions, which is the of the Hanbalis. A group of scholars adopted this view, and Al-Nawawi preferred it, based on the hadiths of Jabir and Al-Bara'. As for the wisdom behind performing ablution after eating camel meat, some scholars said that it is an act of worship whose meaning is not rationally comprehensible. Others sought a reason, such as that camel meat excites the nerves and ablution calms them. However, the fundamental reason is the command of the Prophet, peace be upon him. As for touching eggs after breaking them, it does not invalidate ablution by scholarly consensus.
