What is the ruling on a man having sexual relations with his wife while he dislikes her, explicitly telling her so, and refusing to separate for the sake of the children?

Spouses must treat each other with kindness and strive to maintain the family's cohesion, especially when children are present, due to the negative impact of family disintegration on children. The wife should reflect on herself and understand the reason for her husband's dislike, discussing it with him to avoid what repels him, in compliance with the ethics of the pious predecessors and the hadiths that describe a righteous wife. The husband should treat his wife with the best conduct and emulate the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in his good character and treatment. He should also reflect on the reason for his dislike of his wife and remember her good qualities, as Allah Almighty says: "Let not a believing man despise a believing woman; if he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another." A woman should not seek divorce except out of necessity, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Any woman who asks her husband for a divorce without any compelling reason, the scent of Paradise will be forbidden to her."
