The answer

If breaking the fast during Ramadan is done intentionally through intercourse by someone who is neither ill nor a traveler, then what is obligatory is to fast for two consecutive months. If one is unable to do that, then one must feed sixty poor people, approximately 750 grams for each poor person. As for breaking the fast by means other than intercourse, there is no expiation for it, but only making up that day. Deliberately breaking the fast in Ramadan is considered a grave sin that necessitates repentance and an abundance of good deeds.
