What is the ruling on the call to prayer (adhan) for the deceased at burial?

Ibn Hajar al-Haytami was asked about the ruling on the Adhan (definition) and Iqamah (definition) when closing the opening of the grave, and he replied: It is an innovation (bid'ah). Whoever claims it is a Sunnah (definition) upon descending into the grave, by analogy with its desirability for a newborn – thus equating the end of a matter with its beginning – has erred. What is the connection between the two matters? The mere fact that one is at the beginning and the other at the end does not necessitate joining it to the former.
