What is the ruling on a traveler combining prayers in the country to which he traveled?
Continuity in availing oneself of travel concessions is permissible or not, based on the intention of residency. Whoever intends a residency that terminates the ruling of travel, their concessions are cut off.
So, if a traveler intends to reside in a country for four days, they become a resident and the concessions are cut off.
A traveler is permitted to combine the two prayers of a time (Dhuhr and Asr, Maghrib and Isha) by performing them earlier (jama' taqdim) or delaying them (jama' ta'khir), provided the conditions for concessions are met.
However, if one intends a residency that terminates the ruling of travel, their concessions are cut off.
