Is the reward for charity dependent on the size of the amount or on the number of acts of charity?

A Muslim is rewarded for their charity given from lawful earnings. The reward increases with the amount donated and if the charity benefits many people. The reward for charity also increases by observing several matters, including: giving it secretly, ensuring it is from lawful earnings, that it brings a benefit to the religion of Allah, that the recipient is in dire need, and that the charity is given in a state of health and while one is still in need of money.
