Is it permissible to count the monthly salary paid to the domestic worker as part of the Zakat, with the intention of giving Zakat at the time of payment?

The recipients of Zakat are restricted to eight categories mentioned by Allah the Almighty in His Book. It is a right due to Allah the Almighty, to be given to those who fall into one of these categories. It is not permissible for the payer of Zakat to disburse Zakat funds for other financial obligations, such as a worker's wage, for the maid's salary is money owed to her due to the contract. Therefore, money given to the maid with the intention of Zakat does not count as Zakat; rather, it is her salary. It is obligatory to disburse other funds as Zakat and distribute them to their rightful legal recipients.
