Is it permissible to bring forward a wife's menstrual period using birth control pills before the wedding to avoid its coinciding with the wedding night?

Many scholars have held the view that it is permissible to use medication to delay or bring forward menstruation when there is a need, as long as it does not cause harm. Sa'id ibn Mansour narrated from Ibn 'Umar the permissibility of this. Some scholars stipulate the husband's permission, but this opinion lacks evidence. It is not permissible to use medication to bring forward menstruation for the purpose of breaking the fast in Ramadan. Imam Malik was of the opinion that it is disliked to use medication to stop menstruation due to fear of harm, but if harm is not feared, then there is no objection to it. If one uses medication and menstruation occurs before its usual time, the Hanbali madhhab considers it menstruation that prohibits prayer, fasting, and sexual intercourse, and necessitates making up the fast, and this is the preferred view. As for the Malikis, they hold that the blood discharged before its usual time due to medication is not menstruation, and the woman is considered pure, praying and fasting, and making up the fast as a precaution. If medication is used to lift menstruation and it lifts, then she is considered pure.
