What should a person do who suffers from the dripping of urine drops after purification (istinjāʾ), and whose doctor advised leaving the organ without tissues or plaster, but he fears his clothes becoming ritually impure (najis)?

If you are not certain about the discharge of urine drops, then do not pay attention to the doubt. It is recommended to sprinkle your underwear with water. Inspecting or squeezing the penis is an innovation (bid'ah). If you are certain that drops have been discharged, then they are impure and invalidate ablution (wudu'). It is obligatory to wash whatever part of the body or clothes they have touched before prayer. If that is difficult, it is excused.

If the drops stop after a period, then you are not afflicted with urinary incontinence ( سلس - سلس البول), and you are not required to bind or perform ablution for every prayer.

As for someone afflicted with urinary incontinence (صاحب السلس), it is obligatory for him – according to the majority of scholars – to bind or place something that prevents the spread of urine, perform ablution for every prayer, and hasten to perform it. Washing and binding are recommended. The Maliki school of thought holds that binding is not obligatory. It is advisable to seek treatment promptly.
