What is the ruling on a husband not having intercourse with his wife for three months due to recurring impediments?

A woman should strive for her husband's contentment as long as it does not displease Allah. Among the husband's rights over his wife is her responsiveness to the bed. It is not permissible for her to refuse except for a legitimate excuse, such as menstruation or an illness that would harm her, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "If a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses, and he spends the night angry with her, the angels curse her until morning." Refusal without a valid excuse makes her disobedient (nashiz).
