What is the historical overview of the Black Stone?

The Black Stone is from Paradise and will return to it. It was whiter than milk, were it not for the defilement of the pre-Islamic era that touched it. There is nothing else on Earth from Paradise except it and the Maqam (Station of Abraham). Allah sent it down to comfort Adam (peace be upon him) when he descended from Paradise, and it will return to Paradise at the end of time.
