Is it permissible to rent out a property under a rent-to-own (ijara muntahia bi-tamleek) system before actually owning it, and to use the rent received to pay the first installment of the rent?

It is permissible to rent out a leased property to another person without the original owner's knowledge, unless the lease contract prohibits it. This is conditioned on the new tenant's use of the property being similar to the original tenant's use, or less harmful. Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Rajab mentioned the permissibility of this, whether the rent is the same, more, or less.
