Is it obligatory to expose the falsehood of stories circulating on social media that include baseless hadiths or incorrect information attributed to religion?

If someone receives messages containing fabricated hadiths, they must not republish them, so as not to participate in spreading lies about Allah and His Messenger. They should also advise the sender and alert them that these hadiths are fabricated and it is impermissible to disseminate them. This falls under the category of offering sincere advice for the sake of Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and the leaders and general body of Muslims, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Religion is sincere advice."
