What is the authenticity of the Hadith narrated from Gabriel to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, Allah is pleased with Abu Bakr, so is Abu Bakr pleased with his Lord?"
Abo Bakr Al-Siddiq is the best of the Ummah after the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, by the consensus of the Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah (Sunnis), and the Prophet testified that he would enter Paradise. It has been narrated by consensus that the verses of Surat Al-Layl (The Night), "And removed from it will be the one most pious" (92:17), were revealed concerning him. Others have held that the verses are general, and he is the first to be included in their generality. As for the hadith that mentions Jibreel asking the Prophet about Abo Bakr and his cloak, and Allah asking Abo Bakr, "Are you pleased with Me in this poverty of yours or are you displeased?", its chain of narration is weak.
