What is the authenticity of the hadith in which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asked his Companions: "Who among you is fasting today?" then "Is there anyone among you today who has visited a sick person?" then "Is there anyone among you today who has fed a poor person?" and in another narration: "And who among you has followed a funeral today?" and his saying at the end: "These things do not combine in a person but that he enters Paradise"?

The origin of the narration is authentic, transmitted by Imam Muslim from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asked the Companions: "Who among you is fasting today?" "Who among you has attended a funeral today?" "Who among you has fed a poor person today?" "Who among you has visited a sick person today?" And each time, Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "I." So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "These [qualities] do not combine in a man but that he will enter Paradise."

As for the details concerning how Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, performed these deeds, some of Umar's answers, and that the incident occurred after the Fajr prayer, their chain of narration is not authentic. The Prophet's intention with his questions was not a "surprise inspection," but rather to illustrate the greatness and importance of these qualities.
