The answer

A pregnant woman is permitted to break her fast in Ramadan if she fears for herself or her fetus, and she must make up the days she missed after childbirth. If she broke her fast fearing only for the fetus, then she must make up the days and pay the fidyah (expiation) according to the majority of scholars. As for the eight days she previously missed, she is obligated to make them up after childbirth. If she is unable to make them up before the next Ramadan due to pregnancy, then she is only required to make up the days, and there is no fidyah for the delay. If she is unable to make them up before Ramadan due to lack of time without a valid excuse, then she must make up the days and pay the fidyah for each day.
