The question

What is the ruling of the Sharia on someone who follows a secular channel that mocks the Companions and the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and lies about the رباني (Rabbaniyyin) scholars, and defends it, while knowing that it combats religion?

The answer

It is impermissible to follow channels that broadcast falsehood and ridicule the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, except for someone who intends to warn against them and is secure from their doubts. And whoever follows them and is not of this type is sinful, but is not judged to be an unbeliever merely for following them, unless he approves of and accepts the ridicule. And merely attending gatherings of disbelief and ridicule does not absolutely expel a servant from the faith, unless there is approval and affirmation of what is being said.
