The answer

Prayer is the pillar of Islam; whoever neglects it will be even more neglectful of other things. Some scholars consider one who abandons prayer to be a disbeliever. You must advise your wife to pray and warn her of Allah's wrath. If she does not pray, then her marriage is annulled, according to those who deem the one who abandons prayer a disbeliever. Her maintenance is obligatory until she delivers her child. It is permissible to leave the wife's country after divorcing her kindly and fulfilling her rights. The child's maintenance is obligatory after birth until he reaches maturity. The right of a dissolute mother to custody is forfeited and transfers to the next deserving person. If there is no one more deserving than you, or if they are unsuitable, custody transfers to you. If you wish to travel, you have a greater right to the child to preserve lineage, for the benefit of education, and ease of expenditure.
