What is the ruling on a male, with full masculine features, who has secretly worn women's clothing since childhood and suffers from severe obsessions and a desire to be female, despite psychiatrists diagnosing his condition as obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression, transforming from male to female? Is this transformation closer to what is right, or is it how to get rid of these destructive thoughts? And what is the ruling on his action?

It is not permissible for a man to transform into a female, as this constitutes altering Allah's creation and imitating women. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed men who imitate women. The questioner should fear Allah and be content with what He has allotted him. He should ask Allah to remove the affliction he is suffering from, strive to ward off Satan's whispers by engaging in remembrance of Allah, occupy his time with what benefits him, and seek righteous companionship. The Islamic Fiqh Council has affirmed that attempting to transform between male and female after the completion of one's organs is a crime and an alteration of Allah's creation, citing Quranic verses and hadiths that prohibit changing Allah's creation.
