What is the ruling on confiscating food from students and throwing it in the trash in front of them as a punishment to prevent them from bringing it?

It is not permissible for the school administration to confiscate students' food and throw it in the trash, as this constitutes an act of aggression and taking people's property without right. The texts have indicated the prohibition of aggression against property and its destruction, among them: "It is not lawful for a person to take his brother's property without his right," and "It is not lawful for a man to take his brother's stick without his good will," and "Indeed, Allah has disliked for you three things: gossiping, wasting money, and excessive questioning."
